Apple Studio Display 15-inch
Introduced: May 1998
Terminated: July 2000
Description
The Apple Studio Display 15” was a flat panel LCD screen mounted in dark blue translucent plastic. It had two ADB ports, an S-Video port, an RCA port and two USB ports. It was capable of displaying millions of colors at any resolution.
History
The Apple Studio Display 15-inch was housed in the translucent plastic that was soon to become Apple’s signature for a number of years. However, at that time, the Apple computers that were available didn’t match-they were all still beige. The sales were moderate, but this was the display that marked the beginning of the change over from CRT to LCD.
