God Hates Corker?
The Ford Corker race for the Senate has been nothing if not amusing. The later polls show Corker picking up a substantial lead on Ford… or maybe not. A Mason Dixon poll put the Corker lead at 12 points while a USA Today poll showed Corker with a three point lead. That is a not insubstantial spread of nine points between the two polls and tells those that watch the polls carefully that maybe not every poll is equal.
Whatever the polls say Corker’s strongest support comes from the east part of the state, an area so firmly Republican that if some entrepenuer ever decides to build GOPLand the natural choice will be somewhere within an hour of Knoxville. Scratch that plan, turns out GOP land is already built and is called DollyWood. East Tennessee may love Republicans but, like just about everyone else, they hate getting out in the rain. Particulalry a steady, cold rain.
That is exactly what East Tennessee is experiencing right now. Nashville is in the high fifties and overcast, Memphis is in the mid fifties and overcast, Corkers home town of Chattanooga is getting hit with some light rain while Knoxville is getting a steady pelting of the wet stuff. Depressed turnout in East Tennessee is exactly what Corker doesn’t want in a close race like USA Today is predicting. If the race is a blowout as predicted by Mason Dixon earthquakes wouldn’t be enough.

I will give Corker points for one thing. His daughter is smoking hot - and a bit of a party girl. Republican daughters are WAY cooler than Democratic daughters.

Hot girl on girl action. Now that’s a “value” I get really get behind.
That is frickin’ fan*tast*tic!
That might well have been the push that Corker needed. Ford was crippled among horny white men by his lack of available bi-curious daughters!
And, let’s be really honest, if you don’t think that would have brought in a few dozen thousand votes…
